  • Pastel Maidstone CIC are proud to announce that they have now been approved as an Open College Centre by the Open College Network (OCN).  This allows us to issue certificates and/or diplomas to those who attend our workshops and complete approved courses.  We are currently running the Pastel Maidstone "Introduction to Personal Development"
  • We have been successful in our bid to the District Partnership Group (DPG) for a grant to buy musical instruments for the group and we would like to thank the DPG for their support
  • We are in the process of designing our next course which will be on "Food Hygiene".  At the end of the course the members will be opening a restaurant for a day.  More details to follow.
  • Early in the New Year we will be running a First Aid Course for all members and volunteers and also videoing and photography courses.
  • We are holding our first public performance on Saturday 12th December from 12.00 - 12.30 themed "The Fairground".  There will be small Christmas celebration after the performance. If you would like to attend please turn up on the day - all visitors will be very welcome.

Previous News

  • In June 2009 (20th) volunteers and members started and the first workshop was held on the same day.
  • In May 2009 we recived our first volunteer enquiries via web site, the venue was secured for the Transition Training Program, volunteer requests were logged wth Voluntary Action Maidstone, all recruitment material was ready and flyers and leaflets wereproduced
  • In February 2009 Pastel Maidstone were successful in its application to the Maidstone Lions for help with art materials and a video camera to record its workshops
  • In January 2009 PASTEL Maidstone successfully submitted a full application to the South East Region ESF Community Grants to underpin a full launch for the first year of its transition training programme - for young adults (16-25) with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
